From Little Italy to Chinatown, Bank Street to Lebretton Flats, the Golden Triangle and Elgin’s night life, Somerset Ward (Ward 14) is home to some of Ottawa’s most diverse and interesting neighbourhoods. Somerset Ward was created in 1994 when the Dalhousie Ward and the Wellington Ward merged. Although it is one of the smallest wards in the City, it is also one of the most dense – at 5.8 km squared the Ward is home to about 37,000 people. Not to mention the people who commute daily to the downtown core for work!
